Soccerfitness

We have partnered up with the leading soccer fitness experts Jens Bangsbo and Casper Skovgaard, who share more than 30 years of academic and professional experience. Jens Bangsbo is the inventor of the Yo-Yo tests, which are the most used tests in soccer. He has published 15+ books and trained Andres Iniesta, Carlos Tevez, Nani, Ronaldinho, Cesc Fabregas and 5 time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo. Casper Skovgaard has been Strength and Conditioning Coach in Premier League, worked as a Team Danmark Sport Physiologist and coached Samuel Eto’o, Samir Nasri, Jeremy Menez, William Vainqueur, Johan Djourou and Sandro. They’ll help bring the latest scientific thinking around physical, technical, and tactical performance to our Academy community.

"For us, incorporating the tracking system from Next11 as a regular part of our training and matches has been a great success. It has provided us with entirely new and valuable data on our players' workload that we couldn't obtain before.

I had long suspected that our GPS system didn't give us the full picture of the players' workload, and Next11's system has clearly confirmed that suspicion. With the sensor on the leg, we can now see how much our players move in tight spaces on the field, which couldn't be previously registered with GPS. This has led to a misconception on our part regarding the actual workload of our midfielders.

Based on GPS data, our physical trainers often had our midfielders do extra runs after training. However, with Next11's data, we can see that it is actually those players who move the most.With data from Next11, we can, therefore, manage the workload for each player better and more accurately in the future, minimizing the risk of injuries and optimizing the players' fitness."
